Then Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid! Take your stand [be firm and confident and undismayed] and see the salvation of the Lord which He will accomplish for you today; for those Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you while you [only need to] keep silent and remain calm.” Exodus 14:13-14 AMP
What happens when you are in the middle of a battle and feel like you are about to lose? Take your stance, dig your feet in deep, and keep fighting. Refuse to stop praying and refuse to stop speaking the truth despite what you see and through the tears. I want to encourage you to keep moving in God because He has not forgotten you. He is right there in the midst of the battle with you. You are not in this alone.
God can use any opportunity He sees fit to remind His people that He is in control. I was watching a Children’s Bible story about Moses. We got to the part where the Children of Israel and Moses came upon to the Red Sea when they noticed Pharaoh and his army behind them. Fear gripped the hearts of the Israelites, and they started complaining to Moses. I can imagine that the Children of Israel’s hearts were racing because it seemed as if they were caught between a rock and a hard place. It looked as if there was no way out. There was the sea, and on the other side, there was Pharaoh and his army.
At this time moment, it may seem that you are going through so much that you cannot see your way out. It may look like there is no hope, but I want to encourage you just as God made a way for the Children of Israel to make it to the other side of what seems like an endless sea; he will make a way for you. What seems impossible to man is nothing for God. The angel of God and the pillar of the cloud leading the Children of Israel moved and went behind them. It served as a shield of protection from Pharaoh and his camp. It served as protection so much so, the Bible speaks of Pharaoh’s army not being able to come near the Israelites all night. Amid everything, God allowed the Children of Israel to rest in His safety.
Why worry about something that you cannot physically change? Rest in God. Allow the peace that He gives to rule your mind and heart. The Bible says that the peace that God gives surpasses all understanding. The Children of Israel were able to rest in the safety of God amid danger; you can rest in the protection of God despite whatever is going on in your life. Try God and allow Him to have complete control by trusting Him. Cast your cares upon Him. We must remember that this is not a physical fight but a spiritual one. The good news is, it’s a fixed fight. We walk in victory even if it seems as defeat is all we see. Change your perspective and change your thinking. We must view every situation the way God views it. It does not matter what it looks like, God will not allow you to be defeated. God will keep His promises. There is no shortcomings in Him so we have to also make sure that we are keeping the vows that we made to Him. Keep trusting and keep pushing!!
