God Will Exceed Your Expectations

What do you expect out of life? What is it that you desire? What do you want out of life for your family? If you have children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, godchildren, or just a child you mentor, what goals do you have for them? Typically, we say that we want our children to go further and do more than we have. Do you know that there is greater for all of us? God has some awesome things that He wants to do in our lives. Sometimes in life, we go through situations, and they leave us feeling hopeless and stuck. Please believe that there is more. In Jeremiah 29:11, the Bible speaks of God giving us a future and hope. Don’t allow the trials that life may bring dismantle the truth that you know. God does above and beyond what we can ask, think or imagine. God can and will exceed our expectations if we allow Him. Sometimes I think we forget how powerful the God that we serve is. To call God, a Sovereign God means that there is a belief that He has supreme power. Guess what? He does! As a child of God, there are certain benefits that you are entitled to. Don’t lose sight of what lies ahead because of what you are currently experiencing. This situation is temporary. Remember, God has given us a future and hope. God wants to do more than what we can think of.

God is supreme, so His thoughts and ways are not our thoughts and ways. Start thinking like God instead of relying on your minute thinking. Don’t try to minimize God and the things that He wants to do in your life. Grow to His level!! Don’t settle with your current situation; press through and walk into the future that awaits you! God never promised that problems would not come. He never promised that life would be easy. He never promised that we would not go through the trials that life can bring. However, He did promise that He would give us victory over the enemy. Deuteronomy 20:4 For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.” He did promise that He would strengthen us. Psalms 28:7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him. He did promise that He would give us sustaining peace. John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” He did promise that He would give us life more abundantly. John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. He did promise that He would always be by our side in the dark moments and good moments. Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. He assured us that He would fight our battles. 2Chronicles 20:17 You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you. Hold your position in prayer! Hold your place in faith! Hold your position in praise and worship. Choose to believe that God is doing the greater in you, and He will exceed your expectations!!
