John 14:27 says, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
Today my prayer for you is that you find peace in every situation that may come your way. Let’s pray.
For this moment of prayer, we let go of the cares of the job. We let go of the cares of the world. We let go of the cares of what may be happening in our families and focus on you. Father God, we thank you for your peace on today. We thank you for your peace that supersedes any situation that may come our way. We thank you for the peace that resonates inside your people when the trials of life come. We thank you for the peace of God that remains in those times of uncertainty. Father God, we thank you for the peace of God that remains within us everywhere we go. Your peace guards our minds. Your Word tells us to take captive every thought that exalts itself against you. We thank you that as we take captive and cast down every thought of doubt and fear, your peace that surpasses all understanding is there to keep our minds. When our hearts are troubled with situations beyond our control, your peace is there to rule. When our emotions want to get the best of us, your peace is there to bring balance to how we feel.
Father God, we pray for your peace to rest in this city, state, and world. We need you like never before in every part of this world. May your people rise and deal with matters peacefully. When cases of injustice have to be dealt with, we pray that the issue is dealt with justice and in order. We pray for the hearts of those that are angry, bitter, and overtaken by hate. We pray their hearts will be turned towards you and overtaken by love. We pray for a move of God through your people that will shine a light on you. We come against the spirit of racism, discord, hatred, unlawfulness, anxiety, confusion, unforgiveness, bitterness, guile, rejection, murder, and premature death. We release your spirit of peace, harmony, forgiveness, understanding, abundant life, and above all else, love. Your Word tells us that love covers a multitude of sins. Help your people to resonate love in the face of hatred. Help your people to resonate with love in the face of misunderstanding. God, we are your vessels here on Earth to be used by you for your glory. May your people not become contaminated by what is happening in this world, but may we be agents of change. May we show the love of Christ in action, Word, and deed.
We pray that people will find comfort in you and rest in your Word. Father God, you said in your Word that you would give rest to those who are weary and heavy burdened. Please help us to lay aside every weight. Help us to give you every situation and every circumstance and allow you to be God. Lord, your Word said that we could find refuge under your shadow. May we seek you in the good and bad times. May you be the first that we run to. May you be the first that we seek in times of trouble. Thank you for being so good to us. Thank you for being so wonderful and faithful to us. Thank you for keeping your promises and honoring every Word you have said. We realize that it is in you that we live, move, and have our being. You are our hope, our strength, our refuge, our peace, our sustainer, and the lover of our souls. We give you all the glory and all of the honor. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
